About Lakeland Therapy

There are times in life when things become too difficult for us. Often friends and family can offer support, but sometimes this isn’t enough. At these times it can be valuable to work with someone who is independent from your life. With extensive training in the Integrative Psychotherapy profession, My work is integrative in nature, offering Psychotherapy, Counselling and Supervision to clients across the region. My Private practice studio is based in Ulverston,  however I also works using SKYPE .

The sessions last 60 mins, and are carried out on a regular basis, usually weekly dependant on the clients wishes. Where necessary the fees can be worked out on a sliding scale, and would be discussed within the first meeting. I work across a broad range of clients ranging from:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression and Stress

to more complex mental health issues such as:

  • Personality Disorders
  • Abuse
  • Trauma and Dissociation
  • Self-harm
  • Eating Disorders
  • Dissociative Identity Disorders

In general, there will be an initial consultation, providing the opportunity to explore issues and feelings within an understanding, non-judgemental and confidential relationship. The sessions give clients the opportunity to gain greater insight and a fresh perspective. The therapy can be short or long term dependant on clients needs and wishes. I also provides supervision in the area of counselling and Psychotherapy.

My practice provides Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling that is appropriate for my clients individual needs, and is provided in a relaxed, safe and confidential setting. My experience encompasses a wide range of issues.

I have experience working within a variety of settings such as Private Practice, Consultancy, the NHS, and the voluntary sector.

As a fully qualified and registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I abide by their code of ethics. I hold a Graduate Diploma in Professional Counselling, and has completed study for her Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy at The Metanoia Institute, London. I have also undergone extensive training and study in more specialist areas such as Trauma and dissociation, and Personality Disorders.
